Title: The Shadow of Musashi
Medium: 3D Cinematic Short (1–2 minutes)
Status: Work in Progress
The Shadow of Musashi is a cinematic short that explores a mythical tale rooted in Japan’s most legendary swordsman, Miyamoto Musashi. The story follows the mystery of a hidden katana—believed to be Musashi’s final and most powerful blade—concealed deep within a forgotten temple, untouched by time. It is said the sword is guarded not by man, but by an ancient and unseen force. Whispers claim Musashi never truly died; instead, he transcended mortality to become a living shadow, eternally bound to protect his legacy.
This project is a fusion of legend, atmosphere, and cinematic storytelling. All 3D assets are being modeled in Autodesk Maya, textured with Substance Painter, and integrated into fx and a richly detailed environment built in Unreal Engine 5, where lighting and atmosphere play a key role in shaping the narrative tone. Final compositing and post-production are handled in Adobe Premiere Pro, ensuring a polished and immersive visual experience.
This piece focuses on environmental storytelling, mood, and visual symbolism, combining historical myth with supernatural intrigue. It is currently in development and will be updated upon completion.
