Distinguished as the largest archaeological museum globally, GEM sprawls across 50 hectares of land, a mere two kilometers from the iconic Giza Pyramids. This monumental project involves the meticulous relocation and restoration of some of Egypt's most treasured relics. Notably, the complete Tutankhamum collection will grace the public eye for the first time, complemented by a staggering 50,000 additional artifacts.
To enhance the precision and intricacy of the immersive experience at the Grand Egyptian Museum, I undertook the modeling and rendering of a foundational projection table using Maya. The rendered representation of the table served a critical role in recreating the projection animatic, ensuring an accurate alignment with the intended surface. This meticulous approach contributes to the overall fidelity and authenticity of the immersive visual narrative at the museum.
The extensive collection comprises items sourced from various esteemed locations, including the Egyptian Museum in Cairo and facilities in Luxor, Minya, Sohag, Assiut, Beni Suef, Fayoum, the Delta, and Alexandria.
